The Liveable Victoria Manifesto is published and supported by volunteers from community groups across Victoria. We thank Professor Michael Buxton for researching and writing the first draft.
Manifesto supporters want solutions to unaffordable housing, scarce rental and homelessness. And we want solutions that don’t degrade nature, open spaces, heritage and amenity in our cities and towns. We want Melbourne’s Green Wedges protected and public land protected in public hands.
Manifesto supporters believe citizen involvement leads to better planning decisions. Citizens should always have a say in how their streets, neighbourhoods and towns are changed.
